C Team

C – Team Structure

Developmental Team 1 (Tuesday/Thursday 4pm-7pm)

The focus of this practice is development of proper fundamentals and basic techniques of climbing movement. There is an emphasis of this practice is actual climbing. There is a mild/moderate amount of fitness training/conditioning. The ability of climbers in this practice will range from 5.7 to 5.11 on routes, and 5.9 to V2 bouldering. Kids are encouraged to train 1 additional day per week with a workout provided by the coach. Emphasis of this practice is to prepare them for harder climbs and testing onto the B team.

Developmental Team 2 (Tuesday/Wednesday 4:30pm-6pm)

The focus of this practice is development of proper fundamentals and basic techniques of climbing movement. This practice will consist of a variety of climbing drills and exercises, with an emphasis on actual climbing. There is a mild/moderate amount of fitness training/conditioning. Over time, this branch of the team will provide a basic library of movement the climber will be able to apply to a higher level of climbing. The ability of climbers in this practice will range from 5.4 to 5.8 on routes, and 5.6 to V0-bouldering.

Climbing Requirements

Developmental Team 1
Must pass Lifetime Fitness Youth Belay safety class. This team is for kids who have demonstrated the ability to climb consistent 5.8, and boulder V0-.

Developmental Team 2
This team is for kids who are excited about climbing and want to learn more.
