Jonathan Croom

Name: Jonathan Croom

Age: 15IMG_6239

Years on the team: 2

Best competition placements in the past 2 years: I haven’t seriously competed yet.

Favorite thing about the AZ Inferno: it is a lot more motivating to train when you’re around other people who also want to get better. Also the coaches are great.

Favorite training day is…… lots of rings, other strength traing and redpointing

Most hated training day is…… rope circuits

Hardest redpoint 5.12-

Hardest problem outdoors: V3

What are you long term goals in climbing? To keep improving and find the best way for me to improve.

What are you short term goals in climbing? Getting past my shoulder injury and getting back to training hard.

What was your most embarrassing moment at competition or at practice? Any time people see me around Zach.

What do you like about competition the most? At comps there’s a lot of energy from many people trying their hardest.

What motivates you for training season after season? I get a lot of energy for other things in my life from climbing; when I climb well other things I do seem to go well too.

If you could posses one “super strength” in climbing, what would it be? I would pick to have a higher percentage of fast twitch muscles as they give you strength for powerful moves, like bouldering, which is what I like to climb.
