Coach Sage Early at IFSC World Championships in Beijing, China

Sage Early has been a climber of 12 years, and a nationally ranked competitive climber for 6 years. She has worked as an assistant coach three years, and has had a positive impact on the team from day one.

Some of her experience comes from 9 years of competition climbing, as she was the first athlete to successfully compete in each category within the USA climbing circuit. For 5 years, she consistently placed in the top 10, and placed 4th at the 2005 Youth Nationals, earning a spot on the 2005 United States Youth National Team for difficulty climbing. She competed at the 2005 IFSC Youth World Championship in Beijing, China. From her 10 years of training and competing, She has gained a lot of experience in different aspects of competition which she utilizes for training the AZ Inferno Climbing Team.

Another aspect to Sage’s coaching is her recent graduation from Arizona State University in May of 2009.  She leaves A.S.U with a B.S. in Kinisiology and a concentration in Movement Science, and plans to continue her education with a Masters in Occupational Therapy as her goal.
